The current executive board is made of members of the Founder’s Committee and will be the governing body until the next elections which are scheduled to be held on September 14, 2009, immediately following the 2009 World Martial Arts Games. The current executive board is as follows:
After September 14, 2009, the Executive Board will consist of the World Martial Arts Games Committee President, four Vice-Presidents, Secretary General, Treasurer and up to 5 other members. All the members of the Executive Board are elected by the Session, by secret ballot, by a majority of votes cast, for a four-year term. The Executive board will ensure the following:
attend to the observance of the World Martial Arts Games Charter
assume the ultimate responsibility for the administration of the WMAGC
approve the WMAGC 's internal organization, its organization chart and all internal regulations relating to its organization
be responsible for the management of the WMAGC 's finances and prepares an annual report
present a report to the Session on any proposed change of rule or bye-law
submit to the WMAGC Session the names of the persons whom it recommends for election to the WMAGC
conduct the procedure for acceptance and selection of candidates for the organization of the World Martial Arts Games
create and allocate WMAGC honorary distinctions
establish the agenda for the WMAGC Sessions;
upon proposal from the President, appoint the Secretary General and Treasurer
keep the records of the WMAGC
enact, in the form it deems most appropriate, (codes, rulings, norms, guidelines, guides, instructions) all regulations necessary to ensure the proper implementation of the World Martial Arts Games Charter and the organization of the World Martial Arts Games
performs all other duties assigned to it by the Session.
The Executive Board meets annually during the games, when convened by the President on the latter's initiative or at the request of the majority of its members.
